Terms of Use
Your agreement with FORUS Digital governing use of the app and related FORUS ecosystem services.
1. Introduction
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of FORUS Connect Mobile, including the mobile application, websites, support tools, onboarding services, wallet-support features, merchant-support features, network-support features and related services.
By downloading, accessing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the app.
2. Purpose of the App
FORUS Connect Mobile provides support, onboarding assistance, account guidance, programme information, helpdesk access, merchant support, wallet-related assistance, network support, voucher and reward assistance, and other services connected to the FORUS ecosystem.
The app may support different user types, including customers, merchants, agents, operators, members, drivers, cooperatives, sponsors, partners, administrators and support teams.
3. Eligibility
You may use the app only if you are legally able to enter into these Terms, provide accurate and complete information, use the app for lawful purposes, comply with applicable laws and regulations, and comply with any programme, network, merchant, cooperative, wallet or partner rules that apply to your use.
We may restrict or suspend access where eligibility requirements are not met.
4. Account Registration and Security
You may need to create an account or verify your identity to use certain features. You agree to provide accurate information, keep login details secure, not share your account with unauthorised persons, notify us immediately of suspected unauthorised access, and accept responsibility for activity conducted through your account.
FORUS will never ask you for your wallet private key, seed phrase or recovery phrase.
5. Acceptable Use
You must not:
- Use the app for unlawful, fraudulent, harmful or abusive purposes.
- Provide false or misleading information.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or accounts.
- Interfere with the operation or security of the app.
- Upload malicious code, spam, unlawful content or harmful content.
- Impersonate another person or organisation.
- Misuse support channels or submit abusive, misleading or excessive support requests.
- Circumvent compliance, onboarding, payment, wallet or transaction controls.
- Use the app in a way that breaches applicable laws, regulations, programme rules or third-party rights.
We may suspend, restrict or terminate access if we believe these rules have been breached.
6. Support Services
The app may allow you to submit support requests, onboarding questions, wallet-related queries, screenshots, documents or other information. We will use reasonable efforts to assist, but we do not guarantee that every issue can be resolved through the app.
Some matters may require third-party providers, financial institutions, wallet providers, merchants, programme operators, device platforms or blockchain networks.
7. Wallets, Tokens, Rewards, Vouchers and Blockchain Features
Where wallet, token, voucher, reward, payment or blockchain-related support is available, you are responsible for your own wallet security. You must not share private keys, seed phrases or recovery phrases. Blockchain transactions may be irreversible. Public blockchain data may be visible to others. Network fees, trust-line requirements, wallet rules or transaction limits may apply.
Token, reward, voucher or programme benefits may be subject to separate rules. Availability may differ by country, network, merchant, programme, wallet provider or regulatory requirement.
FORUS does not guarantee the market value, exchangeability, liquidity or future availability of any token, reward or voucher unless expressly stated in separate legally binding terms.
8. Payments and Financial Services
Some features may relate to payments, merchant services, voucher redemption, wallet support, rewards, remittances or transaction support. Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. Financial services may be subject to separate terms and regulatory requirements. Transaction limits, fees, settlement periods, reversals, refunds or chargebacks may apply.
We may request additional verification before enabling certain features. We may delay, block, reverse, review or report transactions where required by law, risk controls, fraud prevention or partner rules. The app does not provide financial, investment, legal, tax or accounting advice.
9. KYC, KYB and Compliance
We may require identity, business, sanctions, fraud or compliance checks before enabling certain services. You agree to provide accurate information and documents when requested. We may refuse, suspend or terminate access if verification fails, information is incomplete, or we are required to do so by law or partner rules.
10. Third-Party Services
The app may integrate with third-party services, including wallet providers, payment processors, identity verification providers, merchants, network operators, hosting providers, analytics providers, communications providers, crash-reporting providers or support platforms.
Your use of third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. FORUS is not responsible for third-party systems outside our control.
11. App Availability, Updates and Changes
We aim to keep the app available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The app may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, network failures, security incidents, third-party outages, regulatory requirements or events beyond our control.
We may update, modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the app at any time. Updates may be required for security, performance, compliance or feature improvements. Some features may be released gradually or may not be available in all countries, markets, programmes or user roles.
12. Intellectual Property
The app, software, designs, content, trademarks, logos, systems, documentation, workflows and related materials are owned by FORUS or its licensors. You may use the app only as permitted by these Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, distribute, sell or exploit the app or its content unless expressly authorised.
13. User Content
You may submit information, messages, documents, screenshots, support details or other content through the app. You confirm that you have the right to submit such content and that it is accurate, lawful and does not infringe the rights of others.
You grant us permission to use submitted content as necessary to provide support, operate the app, comply with law, improve services, resolve disputes and maintain security and audit records.
14. Account and Data Deletion
If the app enables account creation, you may request deletion of your account and associated information through the in-app account deletion path or the web request link identified in our Privacy Policy. Certain records may be retained where required for legal, tax, audit, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, regulatory or transaction-reconciliation purposes.

Account deletion may not reverse completed transactions, remove public blockchain records or delete records held independently by third-party providers.
15. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, provide false or incomplete information, we suspect fraud, abuse, security risk or unauthorised activity, required verification is not completed, we are required to do so by law, regulation, court order, partner rules or risk controls, or continued access may harm FORUS, users, merchants, partners or the network.
You may stop using the app at any time.
16. Disclaimers
The app is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FORUS makes no warranties that the app will always be available, error-free or secure; that all support issues will be resolved; that third-party services will operate without interruption; that blockchain, wallet, payment or network systems will always be available; or that tokens, rewards or vouchers will have any specific value, liquidity or availability.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FORUS will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or economic losses, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, opportunity, rewards, tokens, vouchers or business interruption.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
18. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold FORUS, its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, partners and service providers harmless from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of the app, unlawful conduct or violation of third-party rights.
19. Privacy
Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please read it carefully to understand how we collect, use, store and share information.
20. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, unless applicable consumer protection laws require otherwise. Any disputes will be handled by the courts or dispute-resolution process applicable in the Republic of South Africa, unless otherwise required by law.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you through the app, by email or by other appropriate means. Continued use of the app after the effective date of updated Terms means you accept the updated Terms.
