Having embarked on my journey to revolutionise the payment services and small business funding industry over ten years ago, the efforts put forth by our team are now poised to pay significant dividends. In order to meet our growth objectives and realise our vision, we have put together a capital plan that allows us to launch and market our ground breaking product with adequate infrastructure and marketing.

Production Lending: Working capital finance
FORUS Digital seeks to support local economic development, especially in marginalized communities, through a portion of the revenue generated by the platform. This fund finances projects that provide these communities with an opportunity to develop and grow. This includes providing production lending to small businesses so they can further develop and expand.
One example of how these funds are being used is through the Wealth on Wheels (WOW) Cashless Initiative, which is working to modernise the taxi industry in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. The project will provide taxi owners with access to digital cash fare collection systems, scholar transport management and billing systems, and improved security.
Adverbuying and on-going revenue
FORUS Digital generates revenue through a variety of channels, including user membership fees. Businesses also pay a subscription fee to utilize the platform’s point-of-sale app. FORUS also generates revenue through adverbuying, in which businesses pay a commission only when a customer makes a purchase.
Businesses can also opt in to share their sales data anonymously through the Africa Data Exchange, a feature on the FORUS Digital platform. In return, they gain access to a collective database of sales information from all participating merchants. Other revenue streams include value-added services such as utility top-ups and e-commerce, as well as volume discounts on platform aggregated purchasing. Importantly, the platform does not charge transaction fees to merchants or customers when using FORUS Digital currency, making it a more affordable and accessible option for all users.
