SEPN — Sustainable Ethical Payment Network

The formal name for the FORUS network — emphasising sustainability and ethics as architectural principles.

Country Partnership

Definition

The Sustainable Ethical Payment Network (SEPN) is the formal name for the infrastructure FORUS is building. "Sustainable" means the economic model is self-reinforcing — value circulates rather than being extracted, and the 60/40 smart-contract split ensures long-term viability for Country Partners and their local members. "Ethical" means governance is transparent, access is inclusive, and digital asset participation is responsible. "Payment Network" understates the scope — SEPN is a full economic operating system encompassing payments, identity, governance, working capital, tokenization, and advertising. FORUS is Africa's on-ramp to the Finternet.
